  look at the arrow in the 2nd picture of the bible (that's the size i measured) CROCHET BIBLE COVER MATERIALS: 4mm hook (any size you're comfortable to use) Combine two yarns acrylic & thin yarn Monaco INSTRUCTIONS : The bible size I'll be making is small (4.5 x 6) - thick 1.3" I measured the bible horizontally Depends on the size of your Bible  Start making the chain (odd number + 1) I'll use star stitch for this project ROW 1: Single Crochet (SC) in this row. Start at the 2nd stitch from the hook. ROW 2: (do the star stitch) Chain 3 insert the hook in the 2nd chain, pull through two loops in the hook. Insert in the 3rd chain (3 loops in the hook). Do this until you have six loops in the hook. (See my tutorials on how to make star stitch) ROW 3: SC turn your work and make 2 half double crochet in the eye of the star stitch.  At the end of the stitch, make 1 half Double Crochet (HDC) to make even.
