 CROCHET BIBLE COVER

(Project #2)

ROW 1: (yellow yarn)
look at the arrow in the 2nd picture of the bible (that's the size i measured)
Chain 20 + 1 chain
Make single crochet at the back loop (start in the 2nd chain)
Continue doing single crochet until the end of this row.
Chain 1 and turn

ROW 2: (yellow yarn)
Single crochet (same pattern)
Chain 1 & turn

ROW 3 & 4: (yellow yarn)
This time I used half double crochet
Chain 1 & turn

Note: Continue doing this pattern until you reach the right length for your Bible (this length is for your bible or book's surface only - crocheted horizontally)

ALTERNATE SINGLE CROCHET(SC) AND HALF DOUBLE CROCHET (HDC)
(Two rows for single crochet and two rows for half double crochet

TWO FLAPS OF THE BIBLE
(I crocheted the flaps vertically)

I chain 10 chains + 1
Same Pattern: Single crochet and half double crochet
Continue until you reach the right height of the bible.

I made two flaps

ASSEMBLING:
Get the body of the book cover and the two flaps
Then attached them using single crochet but before doing the single crochet at the edges, get clips to attach them together. The first flap on the right side and the other on the left side. Then start to single crochet at the edges.
For beauty, you can add crochet edges design you want.

RING BUTTON:
Go to the middle part of the book cover (right side) and crochet chains that would reach the button you sew.
