ROW 1: (BLACK YARN)

Do Magic circle
6 single crochets in the circle
if done, pull the yarn tail tight
slip stitch
chain 1 (not count as a stitch)

ROW 2:

2 single crochet in every stitch, use a stitch marker
slip stitch & chain 1
total of 12 single crochets

ROW 3:

single crochet in the first stitch 
2 single crochet in the next stitch
do this alternately
Continue doing this pattern until the end of the row
total of 18 single crochets

ROW 4:

chain 1 for turning chain
single crochet in the next two stitches
2 single crochets in the next stitch
do this pattern: (sc, sc, 2sc)
Continue doing this pattern until the end of the row
total of 24 single crochets
slip stitch 


ROW 5:

chain 2 for turning chain
on the same stitch, do the half cluster, chain 1, cluster 
skip one stitch
then cluster again on the next stitch

do this pattern: (cluster, skip, cluster)
Continue doing this pattern until the end of the row
slip stitch to the next two stitches to reach the chain 1 space

How to do the cluster:
Do the double crochet incomplete (yarn over, grab the yarn pull through two loops then yarn over again and grab the yarn then pull through two loops then pull through three loops chain 1 then cluster again in the same stitch)

ROW 6: (WHITE YARN)

on the chain 1 space pull the white yarn
Chain 2
make a cluster in every chain 1 spaces
(total of 12 clusters)
(slip stitch)
slip stitch again to the next two stitches to reach the chain 1 space

ROW 7: (black yarn)

on the chain 1 space get the black yarn (leave the white yarn)
Chain 2
* Do the cluster in chain one space
*Cluster in between
*Cluster in chain 1 space
*Skip the between
*Cluster in chain one space
*Cluster in between

(Do this pattern alternately: (Cluster in chain 1 space/ cluster in between/ cluster in chain 1 space/ skip the between-no cluster/ cluster in space/ cluster in between) 

(total of 18 clusters)
(slip stitch)
slip stitch again to the next two stitches to reach the chain 1 space

ROW 8: (white yarn)

on the chain 1 space get the white yarn (leave the black yarn)
Chain 2
* Do the cluster in every chain one space
(slip stitch)
slip stitch again to the next two stitches to reach the chain 1 space

ROW 9: (black yarn)

on the chain 1 space pull up the black yarn (leave the white yarn)
Chain 2
* Do the cluster in the first three chain one spaces
*Cluster in between (for increase)
*Cluster in the next three chain one spaces

Do this pattern alternately: (Cluster in the first three chain 1 spaces / cluster in between/ cluster in the next three chain one spaces)
(total of 24 clusters) 
(slip stitch)
slip stitch again to the next two stitches to reach the chain 1 space

NOTE:
Continue doing this round 9 until you reach four rows of white yarn
*Don't forget to alternate white and black yarn

LAST ROWS: 
Doing single crochet in every rows
(I made 9 rows of single crochet)

  look at the arrow in the 2nd picture of the bible (that's the size i measured) CROCHET BIBLE COVER MATERIALS: 4mm hook (any size you're comfortable to use) Combine two yarns acrylic & thin yarn Monaco INSTRUCTIONS : The bible size I'll be making is small (4.5 x 6) - thick 1.3" I measured the bible horizontally Depends on the size of your Bible  Start making the chain (odd number + 1) I'll use star stitch for this project ROW 1: Single Crochet (SC) in this row. Start at the 2nd stitch from the hook. ROW 2: (do the star stitch) Chain 3 insert the hook in the 2nd chain, pull through two loops in the hook. Insert in the 3rd chain (3 loops in the hook).
